Featured Tastes

Pretzel
Authentic German soft pretzel. Real deal rich, buttery flavour. Great with cream cheese, or thick butter and chives, or on their own with a side of beer. Best fresh – we recommend eating these the on day they’re baked.
Hearty Seed Bread
This hearty loaf is packed with pumpkin, sunflower, and flax seeds and old-fashioned oats for a nutty flavour and more texture. Great on it’s own or with cheese or meat toppings… we also love it for grilled cheese sandwiches.
Sourdough Loaf
Classic European-style sourdough at it’s best. Lightly acidic, medium-pored, crumb balances the toasted aromas of the crust. Great everyday bread.
Double Chocolate Chunk and Chip Cookie
Packed with chocolate chunks, chocolate chips, and cocoa powder for a textured, rich flavour, these large cookies are inspired by the famous cookies at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery in California.

What to Expect

About Grains & Goods Bakery

At Grains & Goods Bakery, they bake artisanal bread and goods using old-school methods and the most local ingredients. They believe in grains as a healthy cornerstone of a vibrant, community-based local food culture. They also grow Red Fife wheat and rye and mill fresh stone-ground flours. Grains & Goods draws on traditional German recipes and the culture of Abendbrot – the typical evening meal of a variety of breads accompanied by a selection of spreads, meats and cheeses – that is common across Germany. Their feature breads are a crusty sourdough, a hearty seed bread, a flavour-packed rye loaf, and authentic German soft pretzels. They also offer a selection of sweet treats and seasonal items such as Christmas Stollen and marzipan-filled Spekulatius and a few things they’ve grown to love while travelling the world.
